1) Business cards: Sign up to vistaprint and take advantage of their free business card offer. Then put the cards wherever you think people may be interested. If you are in a hostel and have a travel website put the card on the back of the toilet doors or leave it at the reception desk. You can also post it on community notice boards.
2) Classified newspaper ads: Most newspapers have a free classified ads section. You can write and email within three minutes and send it off to the numerous newspapers that will be only too happy to publish your ad and URL for you. This will be seen by the many people who browse the classified ads section of their local newspaper on a daily basis.
3) Apply for entrepreneurial or business awards in your area: There many awards given to business people and entrepreneurs on a monthly basis. Good job pointing out that website marketing can (and should) be done offline as well as online. It's easy to get so caught up in the online side of things that you forget to poke your head out!
Another great marketing method is Yahoo! Answers marketing. Basically with this type of strategy, you answer specific questions that other people have on Yahoo! Answers.
